Position Details

Position Duties and Responsibilities

Student Employee will facilitate the use of the technology (PCs, scanners, and printers) and software (word processing, spreadsheet, database, Internet, Blackboard, Banner-Web, and other software) in the Sci/Tech Computer lab, will be responsible for cleaning and maintaining of lab equipment and workstations, and will perform other duties as assigned by the Lab Supervisor.

Required Qualifications

Must be a registered St. Louis Community College student prior to applying for a student worker position. Must maintain student status during employment. Also, will maintain a 2.0 grade point average or better while employed as an STLCC student worker.

Preferred Qualifications

General knowledge of Windows operating systems; Basic knowledge of Computer networks, Internet browsers, the Microsoft Office Suite and Blackboard/Banner. AutoCAD/Mathematica knowledge will be helpful but not mandatory.
Excellent customer service skills, a positive attitude and punctuality.

Special Instructions to Applicants

Applicant needs to submit STLCC Banner registration that shows the Class schedule for the semester, as Additional Attachment (this is required to verify registration at STLCC); Applications cannot be considered without STLCC Banner registration/schedule.
Applicant also needs to submit a cover letter, listing his/her class timings, and available work hours for the lab.
