Position Details

Position Duties and Responsibilities

Performs housekeeping duties to maintain cleanliness of campus buildings: cleans rest rooms and fixtures; sweeps, scrubs, mops, buffs, and waxes floors; dusts and polishes furniture, woodwork and metalwork; cleans and empties waste receptacles; washes windows; cleans classrooms, chalkboards, white boards, etc.; vacuums and shampoos carpets; may clean vents and registers.

Assists in arranging furniture and equipment for special events; may set up or take down equipment when needed.
Assists with meeting set-up/break-down, risers, staging
Maintains equipment and materials.
Moves furniture
Reports safety and fire hazards and maintenance deficiencies.
May assist Grounds during weather emergencies
Performs other job related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent and housekeeping experience.
Valid driver’s license and insurance.
Physical requirements:
May require physical work: heavy lifting, pushing, pulling required of objects over 50 pounds.
Ability to climb ladders and work at heights up to 10’.
Ability to stoop, squat and bend.
Ability to work in confined spaces.

Preferred Qualifications

DESIRED KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Knowledge of OSHA/ EPA/ HAZCOM and Blood Bourne Pathogens requirements.

Minimum of one (1) year housekeeping experience in an educational or non-profit setting.
