Position Details

Position Duties and Responsibilities

Teach IS courses, such as programming (Java, C#, C++), Unix/Linux, Javascript, Python, PHP, Web design and development courses (HTML, CSS, production tools), Database Management, Systems Analysis and Design, Information Assurance/Security, Computer Applications, and Keyboarding, etc.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree with major in subject field and two (2) years of full-time college teaching experience, and one (1) year of related full-time work experience
OR Bachelor’s degree with major in subject field and four (4) years of full-time related work experience

Note: Courses related to Computer Science AS require a Master’s Degree to teach.

Preferred Qualifications

Master’s degree in the subject field or a master’s degree with at least thirty (30) approved graduate semester hours in the subject field and related fields.
Community College teaching experience and demonstrated ability to work effectively with students, faculty and staff of diverse socioeconomic, cultural and racial/ethnic backgrounds, as well as diverse abilities/disabilities and sexual preferences.
