Position Details

Position Duties and Responsibilities

Serves as the initial contact person for students in the Academic Advising department. Greets and interviews students to determine appropriate resources and/or services needed to effectively facilitate the enrollment process for students. Manages the student flow process for the advisors. Schedules student appointments with Academic Advisors. Utilizes Banner (student software system) for staff and student inquiries. Assists in maintaining general advising mailbox and phone/voice mailbox. May assist in department record keeping tasks. Maintains the Advising department waiting area by stocking commonly used forms and materials associated with enrollment.

Required Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent and over three (3) months of relevant full-time experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Demonstrated high volume customer service experience preferred.
A fast learner who thrives on multiple tasks in a brisk office environment.
Familiarity with Banner, Outlook and Microsoft Office.
